DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Come dance away the winter blues at our Groundhog’s Day Sock-hop! This is a family friendly dance event for all ages. DJ Bob Brenner will be playing 50’s and 60’s rock and roll to start out the evening\, but he will also take requests\, so feel free to suggest your favorite dance tunes from any decade. If you don’t want to dance and you just want to come and enjoy the music and the company\, that is fine too. \nThe event takes place 7:00-9:00 in the Wyalusing Community Corp. Building at 20 Main Street\, Wyalusing\, PA. There is a small parking lot next to the building\, and parking is also available on the street and in a lot a block away at the corner of Marsh and First Street. \nThis event is a fundraiser for the Wyalusing Valley Museum’s Move to Main Street Campaign. Admission is a donation at the door\, pay what you choose. Your generosity will help us pay for the renovations to the museum’s future home at 25 Main Street\, across from the dance venue. \nIn the event of bad weather\, please keep an eye on the museum’s Facebook page to find out if there are any changes. DESCRIPTION:The Wyalusing Valley Museum and the Wyalusing Community Jazz Band are co-hosting an evening of jazz music on August 18\, 2023 as a fundraiser for the museum’s Move to Main Street Campaign. Enjoy a night of big band jazz at the Tuscarora Wayne Room in the Wyalusing Community Corp. building at 20 Main Street. Whether you want to sit and listen to the music or get up and dance\, there’s room for everyone. \n The entrance to the Tuscarora Wayne Room is on the side of the building with the Wyalusing post card mural\, facing the parking lot. \nAdmission will be a donation at the door\, suggested donation $5/person. Need to pay less? That’s OK! Able to pay more? All proceeds go to support the renovations to 25 Main Street\, the future home of the Wyalusing Valley Museum. You can see our recent facade renovation across the street from the event venue. \nThere will be a casual beginners swing dance lesson from 7:00-7:30 before the main event.
