DESCRIPTION:The Wyalusing Valley Museum and the Wyalusing Community Jazz Band are co-hosting an evening of jazz music on Friday July 25\, 2025 as a fundraiser for the Wyalusing Valley Museum. Enjoy a night of big band jazz at the Tuscarora Wayne Room in the Wyalusing Community Corp. building at 20 Main Street. Whether you want to sit and listen to the music or get up and dance\, there’s room for everyone. \n The entrance to the Tuscarora Wayne Room is on the side of the building with the Wyalusing post card mural\, facing the parking lot. \nAdmission will be a donation at the door\, pay what you choose. All proceeds go to support the Wyalusing Valley Museum which has just opened in its new home across the street from the event venue. \nThere will be a casual beginners swing dance lesson from 7:00-7:30 before the main event. Contestant registration is due by Monday February 17\, 2025. You can download a registration form to print out here. \nContestants can register in either Adult or Youth divisions and either Traditional Mac and Cheese (cheese is the main flavor) or Loaded Mac and Cheese (includes another major flavor\, examples: Buffalo Mac and Cheese\, Pickle Mac and Cheese\, etc.) Our panel of judges will award prizes in each category for each age group and there will also be a People’s Choice Award in each age group. \nWant to taste the mac and cheese and vote for the People’s Choice winner? DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The Wyalusing Valley Museum will be hosting our second annual Patchwork in the Pews Quilt Show on Saturday April 20\, 2024. If you are a quilter or the owner of an heirloom quilt and you live within the Wyalusing Area School District\, we would love to see your quilts at the show. This year’s quilt show will be at the Camptown Community Church on Rt. 706 in Camptown. Save the date\, and finish up or unpack your quilts! \n  \nIf you are loaning a quilt for the show\, registration forms are due by April 13 and can be returned via email\, mail or in the drop box next to the museum office door on Main Street in Wyalusing. After we receive your registration form we will contact you to schedule dropping off your quilt between April 15-19 at the museum annex on Church Street in Wyalusing. Quilts can be picked up after the show 3:30-5:00 at the Camptown Community Church or we will make arrangements for you to get your quilt from the museum the following week. \nIf you are attending the quilt show\, it will be open from 11:00-3:00. The dance will be held at the Tuscarora Wayne Community Room in the Wyalusing Community Corp. building at 20 Main Street\, Wyalusing\, PA. Please enter the TW Room from the parking-lot side of the building. \nDon’t want to dance? Music fans who want to treat this as a concert are welcome too! \nWhat to wear? Whatever is comfortable. Feel free to dress up or be casual.  If you are planning to dance\, make sure you wear comfortable shoes that will definitely stay on your feet even when walking backwards – flip flops are hard to dance in! \nWhat does “donation at the door” mean? That means your admission is whatever amount you want to donate to the Wyalusing Valley Museum. We’d suggest that $5 per person is a good baseline\, but if you can give more\, make it $10\, $15\, $20 a person or more! All proceeds go to support the Wyalusing Valley Museum. \nWhere do I park? There is parking on the street\, and there is a small parking lot next to the Wyalusing Community Corp Building. Please do not block the alley that goes behind the WCC building.
