The Wyalusing Valley Museum has a plan—to own our own building on Main Street in Wyalusing.
Move to Main Street Campaign
We are in! Thanks to many generous financial contributions, the Wyalusing Valley Museum Association was able to purchase 25 Main Street at the end of 2017, mortgage free, and in 2025 we opened our exhibit gallery in the Main Street building.
The museum now owns two adjoining properties, the former hardware store on Main Street, and the former Masonic Lodge building facing Church Street. Combined they give us 10,000 square feet of space to use for exhibits, programs, research library, storage, and offices. With the acquisition of these two late 19th century buildings, we have just added two very large artifacts to our collection! Preserving these two examples of vernacular commercial architecture is a privilege and a responsibility that we hope you will be part of as well.
We have opened the exhibits in the Main Street building, but there is still work to be done. Contributions to the capital fund will go towards ongoing renovations and maintenance for both buildings to keep them a useful part of the community for many years to come.

The Wyalusing Valley Museum Association Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
You Can Help!
We want this to be a full community effort. We are looking for monetary donations to the Move to Main Street Campaign, but we are also at a part of the process where there are other ways to participate as well—volunteering a skill, donating materials, or helping to match up someone who can provide needed skills or supplies to the museum. Know that we deeply appreciate your support!
